ANIMORPHS (BOOKS) MASTERPOST (click through picture for download)
Animorphs is a science-fiction book series that were very popular and written in the 90’s. It follows the stories of five humans – Jake, Marco, Cassie, Rachel, and Tobias – and an alien by the name of Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill who obtain the ability to morph into any animal they touch. Naming themselves “The Animorphs” (animal-morphers), they find themselves in the middle of a war for humanity against a secret alien infiltration. First person books, with the Animorphs taking turns narrating the story. Horror, war, dehumanization, sanity, morality, innocence, leadership, and growing up are core motifs of the series.
These books are set in the nineties and have a bunch of references to such times that make it hilarious at points when you’re rereading them. Beyond them and the covers’ expert use of photoshop though, you’ll find real horror and war stories from people that are still even trying to just get through school and act like normal kids.

Megamorphs #1
Books 8–18
Megamorphs #2
Books 19–22

Megamorphs #3
Books 30–35
Visser Chronicles
Books 36–40
Megamorphs #4
Books 41-53
the Ellimist Chronicles
Book 54
*If this is your first time reading the series, this way of reading it may be weird. I know for one I’d rather start off with book one than the Andalite chronicles, which is a great book to use as a prequel “setting up everything you know” once you’re further along in the series. The Megamorph books are all good to read in the chronological time and the other chronicle books aren’t too bad. Hork-Bajir has no spoilers for the rest of the series but contains important information that comes up later on. Visser chronicles is brought up in the series from other povs but isn’t needed to understand (although helps) Ellimist Chronicles although brings you up to the end of the story is very vastly different and describes the life of the very omnipotent being that is the Ellimist. I’d recommend reading this book after reading the series, also because there are spoilers for the ending.
